In line with statutory requirements, Bosco Catholic Education Trust, as the admission authority for St Paul’s Catholic College, is consulting on its proposed admissions arrangements for the 2027–2028 academic year.
As part of this consultation, the Trust is required to seek views from the following groups:
- Parents of children aged between two and eighteen
- Other individuals within the ‘relevant area’ (as defined by the Local Authority) who may have an interest in the proposed admissions arrangements (for example local priests or other Catholic schools within the deanery)
- All other admission authorities within the relevant area
- The Local Authority
- The Education Service of the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton
Summary of Proposed Changes
The proposed updates to the admissions arrangements are intended to reflect national Catholic Education Service model policies and wording. These changes include:
- Clarifying admissions criteria and removing unnecessary criteria
- Making explanatory notes more concise
- Removing references to specific parishes
- Removing the requirement for the Supplementary Information Form (SIF) to be countersigned
Consultation Period
The statutory consultation period (a minimum of six weeks) will run from Friday 19th December 2025 to Friday 30th January 2026.
