Sussex Maths Hub
St Paul’s Catholic College are proud to host the Sussex Maths Hub on behalf of Bosco Catholic Education Trust, the lead institution for the Sussex Maths Hub, working in partnership with the Department for Education and the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM).
The Sussex Maths Hub brings together schools, colleges and early years providers from across the region to improve mathematics education for children and young people. As part of a national network of Maths Hubs, the Sussex Maths Hub supports evidence-informed professional development for teachers and leaders from Early Years to Post-16.

What Does the Maths Hub Do?
The Sussex Maths Hub coordinates a wide range of free programmes and workshops for teachers at all stages of their career. These Work Groups are designed to:
- Raise standards of teaching and learning in maths
- Strengthen subject knowledge and pedagogical practice
- Build collaborative networks of schools
- Share best practice and innovation across the region
- Develop confident, skilled teacher-leaders in maths education
Each Work Group is led by an expert local practitioner, with support from the NCETM and access to high-quality resources and training.

Who Can Get Involved?
The Sussex Maths Hub works with schools, academies, colleges and early years settings across East and West Sussex, Brighton & Hove. Participation is fully funded by the DfE and open to all phases of education.
Whether you’re an Early Years educator or a Post-16 maths teacher, there’s an opportunity to engage, reflect and grow within a supportive community of practice.
