Transportation

Getting to St Paul's

Whether travelling from across town or around the corner, we want all our students to arrive safely, calmly, and on time, ready for a day of learning.

St Paul’s is easily accessible by a variety of transport methods, and we encourage students to choose safe, sustainable options whenever possible.

Walking & Cycling

We encourage walking or cycling to school wherever possible. St Paul’s is well-connected by footpaths and cycle routes, and we have secure bike storage on site. Students cycling to school should wear helmets and bring a lock for their bike.

Car Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Families choosing to drive should use the designated drop-off and pick-up zones at The Triangle so that students can enter school via the underpass.

Please follow all safety signage and guidance from staff on duty, especially during busy times. For the safety of students and staff, we ask that cars do not idle unnecessarily or block pedestrian walkways.

Local Buses

Local bus services are provided by Compass Bus, with routes that link nearby towns and villages across Mid-Sussex and covering much of Burgess Hill.

The Triangle Leisure Centre, located directly opposite St Paul’s Catholic College is served by the 35A/35C with a special bus operated for students am & pm. Route 100 also serves The Triangle every hour all day. Students should enter the school via the underpass.

Coach Routes

Families in Mid and East Sussex have come together to organise reliable, private coach services to support student travel to and from St Paul’s. These routes are independently run by Sussex Coaches and Spirit of Sussex, serving a wide range of towns and villages.

Mid-Sussex Routes

Sussex Coaches run a dedicated service to St Paul’s from key areas in Mid Sussex including Cowfold, Bolney, Haywards Heath, Cuckfield, and Lindfield.

Please contact Sussex Coaches directly for full route information, timings, and fees.

East Sussex Routes

Spirit of Sussex currently run two coach routes to St Paul’s, serving students travelling from:
Seaford, Newhaven, Lewes, Buxted, Uckfield, and Newick.

For detailed information on stops, timetables, and costs, please contact Spirit of Sussex directly.

Coach boarding is supervised daily by members of our College Leadership Team (CLT) to ensure that students are safe and accounted for at the beginning and end of each day.
