Overview of the Pathways Awards There are many different Pathways to becoming a Leader at St Paul’s. For example, you may choose to be a Sports Leader or a House Leader. There are three different levels of leadership: Bronze, Silver and Gold. You will be able to progress through the levels. How To Apply You will need to write a letter if you wish to apply to become a Student Leader. You should explain why you want to become a Student Leader and what qualities you could bring to the role. The skills required for becoming a leader are:
Fulfilling your Award You will be required to fulfil competencies on each of these key skills to complete your award. You will be selected to take part in one pathway but you might use your leadership skills in many different areas. You do not have to start at Bronze Level. You may start at Silver or Gold but your Pathway Leader will give you guidance on this. Commitment As a Student Leader you will have to be committed although just how much will depend on the level of the award you are working towards. There will be a minimum commitment of 20 hours over the year. Learn New Skills You will learn new skills first and then you will have the opportunity to put them into practice. Assessment A Pathway Leader will oversee the work that you are doing towards your Leadership Award. You will have to provide evidence of your achievements so that your Pathway Leader can sign off your log book. |
