Cross country runner Phil Radford came 8th overall in the county and qualified to represent the school at the Southern Inter-Counties Championships.

The Year 10 football team drew 2-2 with Forrest School. Henry Sheill scored the first goal and Ruari Farrell the second.

The Year 8 rugby team made a good start to the season when they played Oathall School. Michael Deveraux became the first person to score a try for the team.

The Year 7 rugby team also played their first ever game. After an excellent performance they narrowly lost by one try.

New players are needed to join the squad. if you are a Year 7 student who would like to play please come along to the next training session after school on Thursday or email Mr Gainey at mgainey@wsgfl.org.uk

American footballers

Last term as part of their enrichment programme a group of students formed an american football team. They are hoping to form an american football club in the summer term.

Students on the "Living for Sport" scheme sponsored by Sky visited the Triangle where they received gymastics induction training from the staff.

An excellent performance from all the Year 7 basketball teams meant that they won all their matches when they competed against Oakmeeds School.
