St Paul's Classical Concert
Wednesday 19th October 2011
7.30pm in the Bailey Hall
Yes it all starts, it is that time of year, time for the St Paul's Classical Concert.
If you missed the performance of 'Zadok the Priest' last year, then make sure you
don't miss out on this one. The concert includes performances of 1812 Overture -
Tchaikovsky, Ave Verum - Mozart, Canon in D - Pachelbel and Moonlight Sonata - Beethoven,
plus many other solo performances. The climax of the concert will be selections
from Carmina Burana.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and will only last a little over an hour. Please come
and support the students, they love love love it when they see their teachers in
the audience.
For students and staff who would like to sing in Carmina Burana, we will be having
a rehearsal this Sunday (16 October) 1-3pm and at 6.30pm on the day of the concert,
if you can make both or 1 of these rehearsals we will teach you the music then.
We will also be rehearsing the piece in enrichment next week. If you want to come
and help but not sing then we are always looking for help with front of house and
refreshments, which will take place after the concert in the Oasis.
