Badminton Doubles Tournament Success

On Tuesday 25th march, 6 students from St Paul’s, competed in a Mid-Sussex badminton Doubles tournament at Warden Park.

The aim of the tournament was to aid badminton development by increasing participation and the event was well organised by SSCO Bernie Streeter as St Paul’s were one of 6 schools taking part.

The standard of the tournament was exceptionally high and there was some initial trepidation as the students warmed up for their first games. However our fears proved unfounded as our performances were excellent throughout the tournament.

Sophie hunt and Ellie wood performed magnificently to come runners up in the girls division as did George Martindale and Jordan Martin who also came runners up in the A group of the boys. Alex Matanguihan and Matt Orlando also performed excellently but narrowly missed out on 2nd to finish third in B Group of the boys.
