Space and Rocket Week 2008

Year 8 recently had a whole week of lessons dedicated to the investigation of space, rockets, and exploration.

They made egg landers in Design Tech, looked at the moon landings in History, and the cosmological argument in RE. In Geography, they investigated the different sites around the world from where rockets were launched, and in Maths looked at the financing, and building of water rockets. The week ended in all the groups launching their rockets with the help of Ben in year 12. The winning team was Integrity who’s rocket flew for 3.44 seconds and reached a height of 10.9 metres.
