Year 10 Mid Sussex Football Tournament

The year 10 football team competed in the Mid Sussex football tournament Downlands Community school in Hassocks.

We took an A and B team to the tournament for the first time this year, with each playing 3 matches against Oakmeeds, Oathall and Downlands with place in the next round for the winners.

The A and B team both played Oathall first and unfortunately both suffered the same fate- a loss! In the second game the A team faced a strong Downlands team that are in the final of this years county cup competition. However there was some joy when Criag Mallon applied a great finish to slip the ball passed the Oakmeeds keeper for a 1-0 win.

The A team finished 3rd out of 4 teams and the B team finished 4th in the B league. All the lads played well and put in 100%, we can not ask more than that!
